Is an open-top self-cleaning litter box safer than a rotating drum?
Yes. There is no enclosed drum for a cat to be trapped in. Four sensor layers (infrared, radar, Hall and motor-current) stop the rake instantly if a cat is detected, and the cat walks in and out like a normal box.
Does it need an app or WiFi?
No. One physical button runs a cycle. It has no app, no cloud account and no subscription, so it keeps working when the internet doesn't.
How often do I empty the waste bin?
About every 10 days for one cat, 4-5 days for two. The bin is sealed after every cycle so odor stays locked in until you empty it.
What litter does it work with?
Any clumping litter (clay, tofu, corn). Pellet and non-clumping litters will not work with the rake.
How loud is it?
32 dB during a cycle, quieter than a refrigerator hum, so it can run at night.
Will it work for large cats or multiple cats?
Yes. The open-top entry suits cats up to 25 lb and it is rated for 1-3 cats. Cats under 3 lb may not trigger the weight sensors.
What if my cat won't use it?
Most cats switch within 2-5 days if you place it beside the old box and stop cleaning the old one. If yours won't after 30 days, email us for a prepaid return label and full refund.
